Q:   What is the difference between Purchasing and Leasing CORMIX?
A:   Leasing CORMIX permits unlimited use of the software for the lease period on one computer. Leased software comes with free major version upgrades (e.g. v5.0 to v6.0) and access to minor updates (e.g. v6.0.0.0 to v6.0.0.1) within the lease period.

For example, if you are leasing CORMIX 5.0GT for one year and CORMIX 6.0GT is released within that year, you will be able to upgrade, install and use 6.0GT at no additional charge as part of the free major upgrade available to Leased license holders.

Purchasing permits unlimited use of the software on one computer, indefinitely. Any newer versions/updates/upgrades/maintenance of the software may be purchased at additional cost.

Licenses for both lease and purchase allow for installation and use of CORMIX on one computer, are non-transferable, and include 30 days of free licensing and installation support. After this period, a CorMaintenance software maintenance contract is required for ALL licensing and installation issues.

MixZon strongly encourages users to lease CORMIX because :

1. Leasing ensures that you will have access to the LATEST software release for the duration of your lease.

2. Leasing software reduces the likelihood that you may require a software maintenance agreement because of the limited duration of the lease period.

3. Leasing may give more flexibility to those who only occasionally use CORMIX.

4. Leases are priced to be lower that the equivalent purchase-upgrade path. Leasing is less costly for MixZon to support because users always have access to the latest version.

5. Our agreement with USEPA requires that we license the latest version of CORMIX to all Federal and State regulators. Leasing ensures that our clients have the same version of CORMIX as the regulators.

Note:
For LEASE licenses, the LEASE duration is computed from the date on which the necessary CORMIX licensing information is made available to the end-user or his/her representative.
