Q:   During CORMIX Updates, I get "Error 1628: Failed To Complete Installation" - What should I do?
A:   


  1. Make sure you need to apply the update patch. Determine the "Service Release" tag of CORMIX - Refer.

    If Service Release = 6.0.0.0 => NO updates available.
    If Service Release = 5.0.2.0 => update Un-available.
    If Service Release = 5.0.1.0 => update Un-available.
    If Service Release = 5.0.0.0 => update Un-available.
    If Service Release = 4.3.x.x => update Un-available.

    Please note, versions less than 6.0.0.0 Need to UPGRADE.

  2. Make sure you are logged into the computer as an Administrator or an account that has Administrative privileges.


  3. Close all CORMIX windows and programs before applying the patch.


  4. The update download may be corrupted. Please download the update patch completely and without interruptions again. Size on disk of the update setup = 34.0 MB.


  5. Please clean the Windows temporary folders on your computer. The update setup needs access to the "Temp" folders and if these folders are full, the update may fail. Use the Disk Cleanup utility in Windows, to clean the Temp directory.


  6. Update the Windows MSI installer using Windows Update Services
